Osteopathy

As a student of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy I employ the principles I am learning to improve patient outcomes. Below is an outline of how I integrate my ever growing skill set in to my interactions with patients.

Osteopathic Structural Diagnostic Screen: A full body assessment that involves postural analysis, static palpation, passive and active dynamic movement screening, and soft tissue assessment to determine the root cause of a host of physical issues.

Osteopathic Manual Treatment: A full body adjustment that employs a variety of non-invasive and gentle methods to restore balance to the body.

What To Expect: During Assessment and Treatment the patient will be placed in appropriate positions (laying on the back, stomach, side, or sitting upright) depending on the issue being dealt with. The practitioner and the patient will sometimes need to work together to produce gentle contractions to correct an imbalance in the patient. The practitioner will often need the patient to be relaxed so that they can be passively mobilized. It is suggested that the patient wear loose and comfortable clothing so that their clothes do not hinder possible treatment methods.

When To Book: I will be available at the Naturopathic Clinic on HWY 7 (350 Hwy 7 East, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 3N2, Suite 211, 905-889-3640) on the following schedule:
